Why your Iron Tide fleet keeps losing before the battle starts

April 23, 2026 · Lukas Brandt

I lost my first Iron Tide Command campaign without understanding why, and it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize the answer wasn't tactics — it was logistics. My ships were arriving at fights already low on fuel and repairs, and no clever order queue fixes that.

The supply system is the real game here. Keep a repair vessel near your main fleet, plan fuel stops before you commit to a front, and never push into contested waters without a fallback port. Every disaster I had traced back to ignoring one of those.

Battles themselves are calmer once your fleet shows up healthy. Queue orders during the pause, focus fire on the biggest threat, and keep your damaged ships rotating to the back. The paused-time system gives you all the room you need to think.

It's a demanding game and I won't pretend it's cozy. But the moment your supply chain hums and a hard engagement goes cleanly, it's genuinely one of the better strategy payoffs on mobile.
